Injuries/Conditions
In the field of sports medicine, a wide number of conditions and injuries require our expertise.
Head injuries, such as mild traumatic brain injury, are especially dangerous to the health of an athlete. Thankfully, those injuries are less common than others.
Musculoskeletal issues such as ankle sprains, muscle sprains, knee and shoulder injuries and fractures are much more common.
Athletes are also susceptible to chronic or acute illnesses such as infectious mononucleosis, asthma or diabetes.
The most common injuries are ones caused by overuse, which can lead to tendonitis and stress fractures.
